Disappointing Experience Despite Good Food – Felt Like a Tourist Trap
We chose this place on our first night in Tokyo due to its high ratings, but unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. While Shizuka, the hostess, was warm and welcoming, and the wagyu beef was delicious and well-prepared in front of us, the overall experience left a bad taste.
At the end of the meal, we were presented with the bill and told that tipping was optional. However, Shizuka then explained their "tipping method" in a way that made us feel pressured to leave a tip. It felt far from optional. To make things more uncomfortable, they insisted we leave a Google review on the spot, watching us until we complied.
After spending more time in Tokyo and experiencing better food and service elsewhere, we realized how overpriced this place really was. Overall, it felt like a tourist trap, and I would not recommend it
