Disappointing Experience - Misleading, Unprofessional, and Overpriced. Not real Kobe beef.
We visited Wagyu Katana expecting to enjoy authentic Kobe beef, but the experience was a disaster from start to finish. The restaurant was empty, which should have been the first red flag. After inspecting the meat, watching it being cooked, and taking a single bite, it was clear this was not real Kobe beef. To make matters worse, the meat was not fresh and lacked the signature quality we’ve come to expect from genuine Kobe beef.
It was also clear that the chefs were completely lost in the cooking process and didn’t know what they were doing. Watching them handle the meat with such inexperience only added to the disappointment.
When we confronted the staff, they denied everything. Later, at another restaurant serving true Kobe beef, we showed them a picture of the meat from Wagyu Katana. They confirmed it was not authentic Kobe beef.
Despite all this, Wagyu Katana charged us nearly $600 for food we barely touched. This was by far the worst dining experience we’ve ever had—misleading, unprofessional, and shockingly overpriced. Avoid this place at all costs.
